Thank You Aisha & Liza!

Last Friday, Wedgwood Elementary turned into a celebration of the many cultures and family traditions represented by our community. A big thank you to Aisha Reuler and Liza Rankin – and all of the volunteers – for organizing one of our favorite events of the year! Families were treated to wonderful food, arts and crafts, as well as a performance by our Wedgwood choir, a Brazilian jiu jitsu demonstration, and the famous lion dancers. Thank you to all who came, and to those who donated much-needed supplies to North Helpline.

Early Registration for Wedgwood in Wonderland Closes THIS Friday!

Register for our spring auction by this Friday, February 14th for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Starbucks! Return your RSVP card or register online today. We can’t wait to see you there! The winner will be announced on the Wedgwood Families Facebook page, here in the Weekly and of course, we’ll reach out directly to the lucky winner.

Wedgwood Parents Like to Party!

Want to contribute something to the auction but out of ideas? Every year, Wedgwood parents host a variety of parties that you can sign up for during the auction. These events can be as elaborate or low-key as you wish, and host 4 people or 40. All the money raised through sign-up goes to the school and the money you spend is tax-deductible.

Want to host but need ideas? Visit here for a list of ready-to-go parties. Please reach out to us by February 24th for your party details to be included in the auction catalog.

For more details or to sign up today, contact Rebecca Nelson at rebecca@ravennablog.com.

The Wedgwood Yearbook Needs Your Help!

This year you can upload images of your kids and their friends directly to the yearbook portal to be considered for inclusion in the 2019-20 book. We're looking for candid shots of kids having fun, learning, and growing at Wedgwood and at any Wedgwood-related activity this school year.

To upload, go to commpe.pictavo.com and click "Create an Account." Find your school, enter your info, verify email and login. Upload photos, tag them and choose an album from the dropdown menu.

Extra credit if you tag the kids in each image (listed, separated by commas) and indicate the class (by teacher name, not room number) or event (such as Move-a-Thon, winter concert, cultural festival, etc.)
We have lots of room for photos in this year's book — let's show off our school!

Email Lori Kelley at WedgwoodYearbookSea@gmail.com with questions.

Marker Recycling

If you have dried out markers at home, you can recycle them at the school through the Crayola Colorcycle program. There is a green box on the table outside the office. You can put any kind of marker in it to be recycled including permanent markers, dry erase, highlighters, etc. This box will be there all year long. Click here to learn more about Crayola Colorcycle.
