PTA Grant brings Theatre to Wedgwood

Book-It Repertory Theatre performs My Name is Celia for Wedgwood students on Thursday, November 21st.

Because of your support of our PTA, the board was able to grant Ms. Waltzer and Ms. Leland funds to bring a performance of My Name is Celia to our students. The show celebrates the life and music of the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz. Thank you to our wonderful librarian and music teacher for arranging this performance—the students had a great time listening and learning!

Backstage/Tech Crew Mandatory Meeting

If your 3rd-5th grader is interested in being part of the tech crew for James and the Giant Peach, packets are now available for pick up from Ms. Waltzer in Portable 1. Kids will have the opportunity to be involved in building props, sets, costumes, or helping out backstage during the show! Signup forms are due back to Ms. Waltzer by Friday, December 6.

In addition, we will hold a meeting for parents of tech crew kids on Friday, December 13, from 6-7pm in Portable 1 (adults only, no kids please). At this meeting we will cover attendance and discipline policies, schedule, and overall expectations. This is a great time to ask questions if you or your child is unsure about participating. This meeting is for tech crew parents only, not the cast. If you have any questions about the parent meeting or tech crew application, please email wedgwoodmusical@gmail.com.

Mighty Movers Winter Sign-Ups

Mighty Movers is gearing up for some cold-weather moving! Students are encouraged to get moving around the track during lunch recess and earn collectible foot charms. Please consider signing up for a shift or two—we can’t get our marmots moving without parent help!

Reflections Art Exhibit

Thank you all for your wonderful and thoughtful contributions to this year's PTA Reflections Art Program: Look Within. In recognition of their achievement, all eight participants will receive awards and the artwork will advance to the state level. Let's celebrate their success and please be sure to view the beautiful artwork in the display case in the main entrance.
